Job Type: 12-Month Contract (Potential for extension)
Pay Rate: $37.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Hybrid: Onsite a couple of times per month)

Job Summary
Are you a strategic negotiator with a deep understanding of the IT landscape? We are seeking an IT Procurement Specialist III to manage end-to-end ownership of large, complex IT Software as a Service (SaaS) and IT Services contracts. In this role, you won't just be a transactional buyer; you will act as a strategic business partner, driving meaningful savings and mitigating risk through sophisticated negotiations and contract management.
Major Accountabilities
- Strategic Negotiation: Lead complex negotiations for multi-million dollar IT contracts (SaaS, PaaS, System Integration, Hardware). Develop comprehensive, data-driven negotiation plans that optimize cost, scope, and commercial terms.
- Contract Lifecycle Management: Own the full contract process, including first-pass redlining and coordinating input from Legal, Cybersecurity, Insurance, and Tax.
- Business Partnership: Serve as the primary contact for IT Business Units, guiding stakeholders through the procurement process for high-stakes projects (up to $50M in spend).
- Sourcing & RFx: Lead the IT RFx process (RFI, RFP, RFQ), including bid evaluations, supplier demos, and Proof of Concepts to identify innovative solutions.
- Performance & Relationship Management: Act as a Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) champion, developing S.M.A.R.T. KPIs and SLAs to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Job Requirements:
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
- Experience:
- Minimum of six (6) years of procurement/IT contracting experience with a degree.
- In lieu of a degree: Ten (10) years of significant IT supply chain experience is required.
- Negotiation Expertise: Proven track record of negotiating large-scale IT services contracts with material financial impact.
- Contractual Acumen: Strong understanding of IT statements of work (SOW), pricing structures, rate increases, milestones, and payment terms.
- Communication: Confident communicator capable of pushing back on unreasonable requests while maintaining executive-level trust.
Preferred Skills
- Experience managing very large agreements over long-term (6–9+ month) negotiation cycles.
- Proficiency in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems and data analytics tools (Excel/Access).
- Experience with "Total Cost of Ownership" (TCO) and "Should Cost" modeling.
