AMI Systems Analyst III (Landis+Gyr Command Cent
Pay: $55.00 – $65.00/hr.
Duration: 12-Month Contract (5/13/2026 – 5/31/2027, extension possible) Location: Phoenix, AZ (CHQ) | Hybrid: 2x/month onsite (more frequent during training)
Schedule: M-F, 8am–5pm AZ time (Requires flexibility for off-hours/weekend support)

Position Summary
As an AMI Systems Analyst III, you will optimize the Landis+Gyr Command Center to ensure accurate metering data for billing, outages, and customer service. You will monitor system health, resolve complex technical inconsistencies, and maintain the infrastructure that powers Arizona’s sustainable energy future.
Major Accountabilities
- System Operations: Maintain high availability of the Landis+Gyr application; monitor health, scheduled jobs, and meter data (interval, register, and event).
- Technical Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve failures in meter communication; perform root-cause analysis and track incidents in ServiceNow.
- Lifecycle & Security: Lead planning and execution of Windows/Linux OS and Command Center application patching; ensure post-patch validation and security compliance.
- Integrations & Upgrades: Support AMI integrations with MDMS and GIS; manage system upgrades, configuration changes, and maintain SOPs/runbooks.
- Collaboration: Act as a collaborative partner and team player, building strong relationships with IT, operations, field teams, and external vendors to ensure system updates are deployed effectively.

- Education & Experience: Bachelors' degree in Information Technology or related field and 5 years of prior relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.
- Knowledge Base: Requires strong technical knowledge within a job area or system and basic knowledge across related technical areas.
- Technical Core: 5+ years supporting Landis+Gyr AMI Command Center or utility applications; deep knowledge of AMI architecture (RF mesh, cellular, HES, MDMS).
- Infrastructure: 5+ years with Windows/Linux servers, networking (TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls), and SQL diagnostics.
- Operational Skills: Ability to work cross-functionally with IT, operations, and vendors in a 24x7 production support environment; knowledge of safety policies and real-time data collection.
- Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills; ability to prioritize multiple issues and provide status reporting to leadership.
