G.D. Barri & Associates, Inc. has been powering mission-critical projects nationwide since 1989. We’re looking for talented designers (Levels I through Senior) to join our team for a Long-Term contract with full benefits.
The Vital Stats
- Job Title: MicroStation Designer (Levels I–Sr.)
- Location: Tonopah, AZ (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY)
- Hourly Rate: $35.00 – $48.00 / hour (Commensurate with experience)
- Schedule: Hybrid! (Fully on-site for initial onboarding/training, then transitioning to Remote on Tuesdays/Fridays and On-Site on Wednesdays/Thursdays).
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design & Documentation: Crafting detailed design drawings, DCNs, and BOMs for facility and plant modifications.
- The Full Picture: Pulling together design packages, organizing engineering data, and hitting the field for walk-downs to verify conditions and ensure top-notch quality control.
- Compliance & Collaboration: Reviewing complex design systems to ensure strict adherence to codes, while backing up our engineers on project designs and estimates.
Job Requirements:
What We’re Looking For
- Education: High School diploma + 2 years of college/technical school coursework in CADD (or equivalent).
- Software: Hands-on MicroStation experience is a must! (Bonus points if you know ProjectWise).
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of design experience (scaled by level: 2+ years for I/II, 4+ for III, and 6+ for Senior).
- Knowledge Base: Familiarity with structural requirements, pipe specs, ANSI codes, P&IDs, Isometrics, and flow diagrams is a huge plus. (Note: Zero nuclear experience required!)
- The Basics: Solid Windows PC skills, great communication, and a valid driver’s license for specific work areas.
