This position is ideal for candidates with an Accounting Specialist-type background (AP/AR, billing, or corporate bookkeeping) who meet the minimum analytical requirements for a Vendor Management Compliance Analyst.
Core Responsibilities

Discrepancy Resolution: Partner cross-functionally with Project Planners, Supply Chain Procurement, Accounts Payable, and external vendors to resolve billing exceptions and ensure accurate, timely payments.
Process Improvement & Risk Mitigation: Track and escalate open compliance findings until resolved. Leverage data analytics and industry trends to recommend process improvements, reduce corporate risk, and optimize future audit outcomes.
Contract & Procurement Support: Assist in identifying corporate contractual needs, provide input/edits for MSAs and amendments, and initiate procurement renegotiation recommendations to drive cost savings.
Vendor & Stakeholder Relations: Establish strong, collaborative partnerships with external suppliers to enforce safety, environmental, and cost-management strategies. Act as the primary point of contact, providing guidance and training to contractors on company policies.
Job Requirements:
Required Experience (Non-Negotiable)
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field PLUS 2+ years of experience in business analysis and/or vendor compliance audit roles.
OR an equivalent combination of college coursework and experience totaling 6 years.
High-Volume Invoice Management: Proven experience processing, auditing, and managing volume-heavy billing exceptions.

Systems Familiarity: Working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., PeopleSoft or similar SAP/Oracle tools) and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Detail Orientation: Exceptional attention to accuracy and rigorous compliance tracking in a regulated environment.
Preferred / Valuable Background
Financial Operations: Accounting Specialist-style experience (billing, invoicing, AP/AR, or general financial controls).
Audit Support: Direct exposure to supporting internal/external audit processes and compliance programs.
