Job Summary
G.D. Barri & Associates is seeking a skilled Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) Designer to support plant modification and engineering projects at a power generation facility in Tonopah, AZ. In this role, you will prepare design drawings, maintain configuration documentation, and collaborate with engineering teams to execute project packages safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and modify CADD design drawings, Design Change Notices (DCNs), and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for plant facilities, substations, equipment, and customer projects.
- Gather and organize engineering data from design documentation to support Plant Design Change Packages and construction packages.
- Assist engineers and project teams with technical guidance, design reviews, cost estimation, manpower estimates, and project schedules.
- Participate in field walk-downs to verify existing equipment configurations and support ongoing modifications or repairs.
- Ensure all technical documents and design configurations conform to plant engineering parameters and quality standards.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: High School diploma or GED, plus completion of two (2) years of college or technical school coursework in CADD or a related technical discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Experience: Relevant background in design drawings, CADD modeling, or plant/facility project support (entry-level through senior candidates are encouraged to apply).
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with PC software in a Windows environment.
- Soft Skills: Effective written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal capabilities for team collaboration.
- Other: A valid driver’s license may be required depending on assigned work areas.
