Job Description:
- Determine land rights needed for utility projects and prepare related applications and legal documents.
- Research ownership records and acquire easements, permits, releases, waivers, and other land rights.
- Prepare and submit governmental and Tribal right-of-way applications and supporting documentation.
- Resolve routine right-of-way encroachments and support protection of company facilities.
- Assist with litigation research, relocation projects, and land rights documentation.
Job Requirements:
Required Experience (Non-Negotiable)
- Minimum 2 years of right-of-way acquisition experience or a minimum 2 years of utility-related land experience in land-related disciplines.
- Knowledge of right-of-way acquisition practices, real estate principles, legal principles, and negotiation techniques.
- AA degree in a real estate-related field, or equivalent qualifying utility land experience.
- Valid Arizona Driver’s License required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word.
Preferred / Valuable Background
- IRWA certification preferred (RWA, RWP, or SR/WA).
- Utility land acquisition and negotiation experience.
- Experience working with municipal, county, state, federal, or Tribal agencies.
- Knowledge of easements, permitting, and right-of-way processes.
- Experience with PowerPoint and Microsoft Copilot.
