Job Description:
Performs a variety of routine research and studies on topics that may include working capital, cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, financial targets and financial and expense comparisons.
Prepare estimates of probable costs of materials, labor and equipment, and subcontracts for construction projects based on contract bids, quotations, schematic drawings and specifications.
Prepare cost and expenditure statements and forecasts at regular intervals for the duration of a project.
Responsible for composing and preparing capital project work authorization documentation for Owners.
Participate in establishing documentation guidelines and procedures.
Organize and maintain document library or repository in appropriate systems.
Consult and communicate with engineers, subject matter experts, project managers, construction managers, contractors, and prepare economic feasibility studies on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
Job Requirements:
Knowledge of finance or economic analysis and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Excellent communication (written/verbal), time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient with databases, report development, creating/evaluating metrics, problem identification and resolution.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills.
Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, etc.) and Adobe Acrobat.
Minimum Requirements
High school degree or GED. BS degree in accounting, finance or related field and three (3) years relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
