We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner for a one year contract with a local Utility company in North Phoenix.

Summary
The Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner is responsible for the completion of medical monitoring testing as structured by the Regulatory Compliance Program, plus additional support of the assessment, treatment, case management, health and wellness education of employees through t Health Services Clinics.
This role is responsible for supporting both the regulatory medical monitoring program as well as the clinical program with consideration of Company policies and procedures as well as applicable state and federal regulations. This role is limited to occupational diagnostic and evaluative focus areas only for employees within the organization.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner (RNP or FNP) in the state of residency plus five (5) years nursing experience.
Preferred Special Skills, Knowledge or Qualifications: Knowledge of emerging practices and trends within the area.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Certified Occupational Health Nurse credential (COHN or COHN-S).
setting of a large organization with multiple team members including healthcare providers, medical assistants and nursing staff.
Experience in occupational health in the Utilities sector.
Certifications by Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing (CAOHC) and/or National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). Certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pulmonary Function Testing, Occupational Hearing Conservation, Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
Knowledge in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations. Experience working with Workers' Compensation and Short Term Disability.
Knowledge of Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) regulations as it relates to employee absences and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) as it relates to reasonable accommodation.
This will be a hybrid role with requirement for travel about 50 to 75 percent of the time.
Travel on an as needed basis or at least 5-7 working days a month to company plant, service center or office facilities across AZ and NM to complete required regulatory testing and/or to address other regulatory or clinical needs.
Must be able to pass a background and drug test
