Location: Fruitland, NM (Four Corners Power Plant) –87416 Hybrid Eligible! Pay Rate: $30.00 – $37.00 per hour (Directly tied to experience)
Job Type: 12-Month Contract (Potential for extension) Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Potential OT during outages)
The Opportunity
GD Barri & Associates is seeking a tenacious, detail-oriented professional for the role of Business Support - C-Support Technician. This position provides critical support for complex capital projects at the Four Corners Power Plant.
This is a "boots-on-the-ground" project coordination role that requires a blend of accounting knowledge, supply chain savvy, and administrative excellence. After an initial month of onsite training, this role offers a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite / 2 days remote).
Your Impact (Day-to-Day)
• Financial Integrity: Proactively reconcile vendor invoices against POs to mitigate billing delays; resolve discrepancies with Accounts Payable and Suppliers.
• Cost Tracking & Forecasting: Maintain real-time cost visibility and integrate data from Maximo and Beeline to ensure strict budget adherence.
• Project Manager Support: Assist PMs with essential documentation, schedule updates, risk reviews, and governance to prevent scope creep.
• Procurement Monitoring: Monitor PO status and vendor compliance to avoid procurement delays and incorrect cost allocations.
• Vendor Oversight: Act as a liaison to monitor vendor performance regarding billing and compliance, reducing escalation risks.
Job Requirements:
Requirements & Qualifications
• Experience: 4+ years in advanced administrative or project coordination roles. You must have specific experience supporting complex capital projects.
• Background: Strong knowledge of Supply Chain processes with a solid accounting foundation.
• Education: High School Diploma/GED required; a Business Degree or equivalent professional business experience is highly preferred.
• Technical Skills: 4+ years of experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Maximo experience is a significant advantage.
• Soft Skills: You must be "tenacious"—someone who takes ownership of issues and runs them to ground.
• Compliance: Must be a "U.S. Person" (Citizen, Permanent Resident, Asylee, or Refugee) per U.S. Export Control Laws.
• Driving: A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required, as you will operate an APS vehicle on-site.
Work Environment
• Training: First month is 100% onsite in Fruitland, NM.
• Hybrid Phase: Following training, you will work onsite 3 days per week.
• Industry: Utility construction experience is preferred but not a deal-breaker.
