About the Role
We are seeking an IT Procurement Specialist to support a large utility organization’s Information Technology procurement operations. This role is ideal for an experienced IT procurement professional with strong end-to-end RFx experience, IT contract redlining, and negotiation expertise across software, SaaS, PaaS, IT hardware, and IT services.
The IT Procurement Specialist will manage sourcing, contracting, and supplier relationships while partnering closely with IT business units to support projects, manage spend, and drive cost-effective procurement outcomes.
Position Details
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
- Contract Length: 1-year contract
- Work Model: Hybrid (primarily remote with onsite once per month; additional onsite days as needed)
- Primary Location: Corporate Headquarters Phoenix, AZ
- Secondary Location: Phoenix, AZ
- Citizenship Requirement: U.S. Citizens only (due to system access requirements
Job Requirements:
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end IT procurement activities, including RFx (RFI, RFP, RFQ), supplier evaluation, negotiations, and contract awards for software, SaaS, PaaS, IT hardware, and IT services
- Redline and negotiate IT contracts, pricing, legal terms, and Statements of Work (SOWs) in partnership with IT and legal stakeholders
- Manage supplier relationships and performance, supporting cost optimization, risk mitigation, and service-level expectations
- Execute Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes efficiently while partnering with IT business units to support projects and ongoing operational needs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field with 2+ years of IT procurement experience
- Proven experience with end-to-end IT RFx processes and IT contract negotiation
- Experience negotiating IT agreements for software, SaaS, PaaS, IT services, and IT hardware
- Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
