Land Agent I

We are seeking a  Land Agent I  to support the acquisition and management of land rights for utility infrastructure projects. This role will assist with right-of-way, easement, permitting, and land acquisition activities while working with property owners, government agencies, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Negotiate and acquire easements, permits, releases, waivers, and other land rights.
• Research property ownership, title information, public records, and legal descriptions.
• Support utility construction, relocation, right-of-way, and land-related projects.
• Prepare and maintain land rights documentation and assist with permitting activities.
• Utilize mapping, Google Earth, GIS, and other tools to support land acquisition efforts.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED and a valid Arizona Driver’s License.
• Experience or knowledge of legal property descriptions, real estate law, and utility engineering/specifications.
• Strong communication, research, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math skills, including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
• Proficiency in a Windows-based computer environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Utility right-of-way or utility real estate experience.
• Title research and legal description interpretation experience.
• Experience with Google Earth and ESRI/GIS products.
• Arizona Real Estate License and/or an Associate’s degree in Real Estate.

Must be able to pass a background check (Education, Employment, MVD/Criminal and Drug testing)
